Common questions
Is Provider really free?+
Yes. We earn revenue when Tourist SOS Operations processes a claim or coordinates cross-border ops on your behalf, and when you opt into Smart Insights. The clinic / transport-provider surface stays free because the value to us is the live operational state — not seat fees.
What does Smart Insights actually do?+
On the free tier, your dashboard's Suggestions card uses rule-based heuristics to recommend obvious next steps. On Premium, we send a structured summary of your org — enabled modules, counts, the last 20 workflow events from your activity log — to an external analysis service that returns 1–3 personalized recommendations, each with the specific signal that triggered it. Toggle it off and the heuristic version resumes — there's no lock-in.
How does Premium billing work?+
A monthly subscription via Stripe unlocks Smart Insights and the international claims module across SOSPRO. Per-claim usage fees are added to your subscription invoice when Tourist SOS Operations processes a claim, files an appeal, or runs an eligibility check. Manage payment methods and see invoice history through the Stripe billing portal we link from your settings.
What does a 'claim' cost?+
Pricing scales with claim complexity and recovered amount. Simple cash-pay claims and routine submissions are nominal; appeals and cross-border coordination scale higher. We share the exact schedule under NDA when you're ready to talk.
Do you charge per seat or per patient?+
No. Bring as many staff and patients as you need. SOSPRO works better when more of your team uses it.
What if I'm a hybrid org? Clinic with an ambulance, or transport provider with a triage room?+
That's the whole point of the platform. Onboarding asks what you do, not what you are — you check 'we see patients' and 'we run medical transports' and the dashboard configures itself for both. Toggle modules on or off in Settings anytime.
What happens if I stop using the network?+
Your data stays yours. Export anytime via Supabase. SOSPRO runs against your own org data — even if you go dormant, the records persist.
Where's our data?+
Supabase Postgres + Storage with RLS isolating every organisation's records. Encryption at rest and in transit by default. Read more on our Security page.
